Remember Following Points
- GATE Answer Keys for 2017 will be published at official site.
- As per the official GATE answer key 2017, marks will be evaluated for each candidate. The candidates who score marks more than the qualifying cut off will be declared as qualified in the GATE Result.
- Correct answers for each of the questions, of maximum marks 100, are given in the answer key of GATE examination.
- The GATE Answer Key 2016 is released for each test series (A, B, C, D).
- The paper consists of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). For each question, there are four options. Candidate has to select one option among them.
- Negative marking is applicable for each question in which a wrong answer has been marked. One-third (0.33) of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty.
- In case candidate has given more than one answer, it is treated as wrong answer even if one of the given answers happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for that question.
- If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is given by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that question
